Anna Josephine Simpson

She was raised by the late Mamie and Anthony Robinson. Here to carry on her memory is her adoring husband of 27 years, William “Bill” Simpson, Jr.; her children Jari Natae Maddox (Bre), Tyrell Lamont Maddox, Gregory Wayne Maddox, and Jamel Lamont Simpson; her grandchildren Jai Maddox, Jahyonna Maddox, Kahri Maddox, Jayleen Maddox, and Diosa Maddox; her sister-in-law, Michele Fowler; her sister Frankee Robinson; her nephew DeJae Davis; and a host of extended family and friends.

Anna retired from Louisville Bedding and Hollander after 38 years of diligent work. She never met a stranger and her favorite activity was going out to socialize with her friends. Being the matriarch of the family, she enjoyed organizing holiday events and picnics for her family, and outings with her friends. Anna also loved her TV shows, visiting the casino, and watching sports.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 8th from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral service in Anna’s honor will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 9th at the funeral home, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
