Born in Louisville to the late Anthony and Margie Carta, Anthony was a retired Administrative Manager for Columbia Health, a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Era, and a member of the American Legion.
Anthony as preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Burden; and daughter-in-law, Missy Carta. Survivors include his children Tony Carta III (Crystle), Dana Crabtree (Glenn), Jason Carta (Christy), Brandon Carta (Rachel), Adam Carta (Stephanie), Damon Carta, Derrick Carta (Renee); and Nick Carta; siblings Diane, Gary, Terri, Joey, Sherry, and Mitch; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Chico.
His funeral service will be held at 11:30 Wednesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday.
