

He was born August 17, 1938 in Manila Philippines, the son of the late Lt. Col. Earl C. and Constancia Shackleford. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and he had also worked as a waiter in the restaurant industry. Anthony was a kind and loving soul, and everyone he met loved him. He loved cooking, watching old movies, and tennis and loved his dog Goldie and cats Beemer and Tiger Lilly.
He leaves to cherish his memory a sister, Ann C. Bunton along with her children, Jeremy, Major, and Rita and her grandchildren; his cousin, Melissa Huff (David) along with their children, Alexa, Michael, Nicholas, and Sara and numerous other cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday January 22, 2012 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all of his Doctors, Fresenius Medical Care Louisville Northeast, Norton Hospital Doctors and Nurses and the Jewish Kidney Transplant Center for taking such good care of him.
