Arthur Leo O'Bannon Sr.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at a young age. Arthur was a devoted member at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church; where he graciously dedicated years of service as a deacon and choir member in the Male Chorus and Voices of Praise.

He also served our country as a proud and dedicated United States Army serviceman; and he later began a career path that lead him to the Louisville Gas & Electric Company, where he continued until retirement. The greatest pride was his family, he love spending quality time with his family, cruising down River Road, watching baseball games and those old black & white westerns.

Arthur gently closed his eyes and gracefully stepped into the presence of Our Heavenly Father, on Veteran’s Day, Monday, November 11, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Jr. and Edward O’Bannon; and sister, Doris Jean Edmonson-O’Bannon. Those left to cherish his beautiful memories are his loving wife, of 64 years, Virginia O’Bannon; as well as their children, Pamela Moore (Rickey), Joyce Easton, Glenda Bradley (Gary), Cynthia Moore (Edward), Arthur L. O’Bannon, Jr. (Teresa), and Carla Liege; and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Paul Baptist Church at Shively Heights 2627 Crums Ln, Louisville, KY 40216. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-12 PM at the church.
