

Audrey M. Rousseau, 83, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on the morning of September 19, 2011. She was the former Audrey Mitchell and a native of Birmingham, AL.
Audrey graduated with a teaching degree from the University of Alabama. She taught for the Public School system in Birmingham and then in Louisville for Jefferson County Public Schools. She was a member of the KY Retired Teachers Association and Hurstbourne Baptist Church where she previously taught Sunday School. She was an avid seamstress and loved flowers and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Warren "Rip" Rousseau, Jr. and her parents and siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Warren "Bud" A. Rousseau, Sr.; children, Debra R. Frederick (Robert) and Ken Rousseau (Nancy); grandchildren, Melissa R. Siegel (Todd) and Rachael D. and Nathan H. Rousseau; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Taylor Siegel, along with several nieces and nephews.
Audrey's Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
