Barbara Sue Clayton

Born September 8th, 1939

Died March 9th, 2024

Barbara was a loving wife to Albin for over 65 years and the best mother you could dream of. Her favorite things to tell people were that she and Albin were high school sweethearts, they were STILL sweethearts and that she was 7th of eleven children.

She will have many angels awaiting her in heaven, especially her son, Tony Ross. She leaves behind her loving husband, Albin, sons Michael (Sharon), and Chad (Morgan), daughter Krista (Matty C.), sister, Alice Tucker Johnson, brother, Keith Tucker(Jeanie), brothers-in-law Hugh Ross Jr. and Noel (Brenda) and our family, Phil, Paiwen, Sueanna, and Alison Yeh in Houston. She also leaves the loves of her life, her grandchildren, behind. Natalie, Jesse and Elizabeth were blessed to have a Grammy that loved them beyond compare. She also loved Destiny and Easton Miller very much. Finding out she was FINALLY going to be a Grandmother was one of the best days of her life.

Barbara and Albin have been members of Beechmont Baptist Church since 1963. Her favorite job was working with the kids at Trunnell Elementary in the library.

Barbara could never comprehend the lives she has touched or the difference she made. She led by example, was truly kind, generous and ready to share a smile.

Funeral service will be 12pm Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
