She leaves behind her husband, Kirk; daughters, Joelle Leiferman and Kyla Goss (Mitchell); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Emmett, and Fitzgerald Goss.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and music teacher.
Barbara graduated from the Catholic University of America in Music Therapy. She could play many instruments, but was a classically trained pianist and oboeist. Barbara loved gardening, music, and traveling. She was a church organist and music teacher for over 40 years. She lived in many cities, but her favorite was time spent in Brussels, where she discovered a love of fine cheeses. While in Belgium she taught music at the International Schools of Brussels.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at Broadway Baptist Church, 4000 Brownsboro Road in Louisville, KY on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:00 PM followed by a Service at 4:30 PM.
