Betty F. Bowling

BOWLING, BETTY F., 81, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Norton Healthcare Pavillion. She was an LPN for Audubon Hospital for 18 years and she worked for St. Joseph's Hospital for 18 years. She was a member of Beechmont Community Center and 9th and O Baptist Church. Betty loved to read, sew, cook, garden and do needle work. She loved to travel and go shopping with friends and family. She was an avid U of L fan and loved to go to yard sales with her son. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Asbury. She is survived by her children, Shirley Turner (Bill), Sandy Jones (Ron), Steve Bowling (Roonie) and Stacey Moran (Steve), 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and her loving companion, Kenneth Stevenson. A celebration of her life will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to American Lung Association or Hosparus
