Betty Jo Lyons

Betty Jo Bunch Lyons, 83, went to be with her Lord Jesus on August 6, 2021, in Lutz, Florida. Betty Jo was born August 12, 1937 in Barren County, Kentucky, to Charlie and Flossie Bunch. She touched countless lives of her students as a schoolteacher at both Presentation Academy and Valley High School for 30 years. Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Ruth, Sarah, Charlyne, and Nettie. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Earl Lyons, her children, Pamela Pinner (Doug), Mike Lyons (Lois), David Lyons, and Kimberly Gregory (Scott); her grandchildren Danielle (Derek), Alex, Nicole, Tyler, and Kenna (Kerry); her great grandchildren Reagan, Cameron, and Conner; her sister, Lucy, and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved walking, the beach, coffee, reading, scrapbooking, taking care of others, and anything that involved her grandchildren. Celebration of a life well lived for Betty Jo will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at Arch L. Heady & Sons Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard, Louisville, KY at 10am with graveside service to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 5pm-8pm.
