Billie Jean Stopinski

Billie Jean was the former business and parish manager for St. Athanasius Catholic Church for forty plus years. She was also an alumni of the Ursuline Academy. Her specialty was handmade cards that she created.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, William A. Stopinski, Sr.; sister, Linda Bingham; and brother, Charles Allen.

She is survived by her son, William A. “Billy” Stopinski Jr.; daughter, Laura Cecil (Bobby); granddaughter, Ashley Peak (Kevin); grandsons, Brad Cecil (Zuzana) and Billy Stopinski (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Landon and Owen Peak; sister, Carol Duncan; many nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank all of the Hosparus staff for the loving care that they showed Billie Jean and her family during this difficult time.
