Carol was a retired Inspector at Brown and Williams and was a member of Ninth and Oak Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her children; Richard L. Putman, Cheryl Jean Drury, stepdaughters; Vicky Ferguson and Glenda Bryant.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 yrs. Donald Payne, daughter; Vickie Lambert (Dale), twelve grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way.
A Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy., Louisville, KY 40219. Visitation will be held before the service from 11am until 1pm in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
