Charlene was born November 19, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents’ Garland & Mary Payton. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Jeffersontown where she played Euchre and Poker. She was also a member of the River City F.O.P. Lodge #614.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Garland & Mary Payton; brothers, Joe Payton & Donnie Payton; and sister, Laverne Potter.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Charles David “Goody” Goodlett; daughters, Sheila Goodlett and Rhonda Goodlett – McGee; siblings, Deloris Morton and Bob Payton. Plus a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m. also on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be live streamed via our Facebook page - Evergreen Funeral Home & Evergreen Cemetery beginning at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Per Charlene’s wishes cremation was chosen and will follow funeral services.
In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions in Charlene’s memory can be made to the University of Louisville – Community of Care Responding to COVID – 19 Research Fund Group or the American Cancer Society.
