

Charles Gerald Brisley, Jr., 94, of Prospect, passed away Peacefully Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his home surrounded by His daughter Lynne & Grandsons Craig and William, who lovingly cared for him for many years.
He was born April 28, 1927 in Kansas City, MO, the son of the late Charles G. Brisley Sr. and Gladys Irene (Rader) Brisley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna “Beth” Brisley and a sister Wilma Strater and Daughter in Law Amy Jensen Brisley.
1st LT Charles was a very proud American. He served in the US Army, during World War II and was recalled for the Korean War, where he served in combat. His military service was so very important to him, and was something that he held so dear.
He was a graduate of the University of Missouri and worked as a Civil Engineer for the City of Los Angeles, CA.
Charles was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Prospect. He loved to play golf until he was 89 as a member of Hunting Creek Country Club, where he enjoyed golf 3 times a week as well as lunches and dinners with friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Lynne Benefiel (David) and Larry Brisley; five grandchildren, Lucas, Claire, Craig, William and Ethan; two siblings, Willard Brisley (Yolanda) and Helen Whited (Jerry).
A service to celebrate Charles’ life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at St. John United Methodist Church, 12700 US 42, Prospect, KY 40059. Family and friends may gather at the church from 12:00PM until the time of the service on Saturday. He will be inurned with his late wife at Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, KY.
To those instrumental in his care over the years, his Hosparus Nurse Jennifer with the girls, blue-eyed Jennifer, Ayla And finally his amazing caregiver Lauren, we eternally THANK and LOVE you all. You made many hard years easier. He loved you one and all so dearly.
