He was a retired mechanic for the old Pennsylvania Railroad and former employee of Bill & Joe’s Body Shop.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Greer.
Survivors include a daughter, Therese Degener (Richard); a brother, Frank Greer; grandchildren, Brent, Amy, Chad, and Jeremy; 6 great-grandchildren; and his companion, Betty Bryant.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Garden West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday.
