Charlie was born on Lyons Avenue in Old Louisville, attended DuPont Manual High School, and enjoyed many games at the old Parkway Field. He met the love of his life, Rose Marie June, at the Parkmoor Bowling Lanes, and they enjoyed over 58 years together.
In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his son, Charles Kenneth June (Tina); daughter, Lisa June Gregoire (Loel); grandchildren, Adam, Anna, and Louis; several in-laws; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Willie Dean June; siblings, John, Eva, Hester, Vernice, and Pat. Charlie was a dedicated worker at Murphy Elevator for over 40 years.
We was a Wildcat fan and enjoyed traveling and cherished time with his family. The family would like to thank his sister-in-law Joyce Dean Clark, caregiver Dee Carpenter, and Hosparus nurse Becky Arnold for their compassionate care.
Due to COVID, the Funeral Service will be virtual. The family invites friends and family to join them on the facebook page of “Evergreen Funeral Home and Evergreen Cemetery”. Live streaming will begin at 11:45am, Friday, January 15, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dare to Care or the charity of one’s choice.
