Charles Albert Morehead Jr, 88, May 8, 1928 - March 9, 2017. Mr. Morehead served our country during WWII in the United States Navy, worked for American Tobacco Company, and owned several small businesses. Charles was a huge UK basketball fan, an avid NASCAR follower, and spent many years dancing with his wife in several square dance clubs, Bells and Beaus, Jazz Box, Ghost Dancers.
Charles was born to the late Elizabeth and Charles Morehead Sr. He was also predeceased by, three children Paul, Cheri, and a baby Pamela.
Here to carry on his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret Dennison Morehead; son Gregory Smith; daughter in-law Nancy Morehead; granddaughters, Elsa Stang and Kela Schuettler; great granddaughters Charleigh and Abigail; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 2-8pm on Friday March 17th. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 18th at 10am in the Resthaven Chapel after short one hour viewing at 9am, services will conclude in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Kosair Shriners.
