Sorrell, Charles W. 81, passed away June 4, 2013. Charlie was a long time member of the NRA and was a wonderful gospel singer. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kay Fry. Charlie left behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 11 years Effie Sorrell, children Helena Sorrell (Jimmy) and Wendell Sorrell (Monica), step children Leonard Lay, Steve Lay, Randall Lay, Donna Coots and Sherry Keeling, eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 11am-8pm at the funeral home and resume Friday at 10am until the start of the funeral. A service honoring the life of Charlie will be held Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home at 2pm with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery.
