Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gaines; her parents Edward and Charlotte Evans; her brothers, Edward and Hercules; and a grandson, Shawn Willey.
She is survived by her children, Daniel (Brenda) Gaines, Linda (George) Willey, and James (Rebecca) Gaines; her brother Jim (Doreen) Evans; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 10am at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be given in memory to your favorite charity.
