

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, August 8, 1941, Chris was the son of the lates' Charles Brinke and Ruth Sulzer Faircloth. He was retired from Prescotech, where he worked in quality control and served in the Army Reserves. Chris was a devoted member of the Lynnhurst United Church of Christ and the Louisville Chorus Club. He was a huge U of L and NASCAR fan. Chris had a servants heart. He was silent caretaker for many years, caring for several family members. He loved to tinker and could fix anything. He was a devoted father and Paw Paw to many.
Besides his parents, Charles Brinke and Ruth Sulzer Faircloth; his wife, Brenda Darlene Brinke; and step - brother, Joe Faircloth, precede Chris in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kristin (Scott) Midkiff and Dawn (John) McFarland; his brother - in - law, Reverend Dr. Vennard Walter "Butch" (Betty) Walter, Jr.; grandchildren, Tye McFarland, Brendan McFarland, Joshua (Lizzie) Speer and Kayla (Dylan) Bowles, Brianna Orange, Carly Saige, Anthony, Aiden, Jared, Havyn, Braylynn, Jordan and Hope Midkiff; great - grandchildren, Chase Speer, Wade Orange, Sawyer, Kiazer and Ellla Ross, Ezlynn Midkiff and Arayah Flores; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home- Southern Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Hour of 2:00 p.m. also at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home - Southern Home.
