Daniel Lee Buchanan

Daniel Lee Buchanan, 67, of Spencer County, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. He loved the outdoors! Dan was always ready to help anyone who needed him and he never met a stranger. He was a talented woodworker and had amazing mechanical abilities. He was a loving husband, father, brother, papaw, uncle, and friend. Dan grew up as a member of Parkland Baptist Church and later attended Taylorsville Community Church.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Wilma J. Buchanan; and sister-in-law, Lynne Buchanan.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 29 years, who he loved with all his heart, Marcella; his children, Mellisa Hammer (Dan Loken), James Hammer, Jeff Hammer (Jenny), Victoria Finn (Paul), Junior Munoz, Jason Buchanan (Lee Ann), Jennifer Carrier (Brent), Lexi Buchanan, Leland Buchanan, Kaya Buchanan, Paisley Buchanan; grandchildren, Gaby, Cameron, Bella, Nate, Nolan, Reagan, Lexie, Hunter, Travis, Kady, Damien,Robert, Claytan, Abigail; one great grandson on his way; siblings, William T. Buchanan Sr., Lisa K. Persinger (Bob), Robin A. Zirnheld (John); several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2024 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home - Okolona, 8519 Preston Highway, 40219, followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
