 My uncle Danny was so kind and selfless. Always willing to give or do anything for anyone. He was so patient even though our family is a lot to handle and probably drove him crazy at times. He always had a smile on his face and an uncanny ability to make others smile or laugh. I've always been more quiet and reserved than others, but he always made a point to talk to me and that meant so much to me.

I remember how me and all my cousins would stay the night and take over his living room; he would just smile and always welcome us. Or how he would tickle my cousins when they picked on me. Or how we listened to Radio Disney on the way to church and he would make the car dance just to make us laugh. Or how he always baked cookies and didn't mind that we would eat them all. Or how he would bid too high in Rook, chuckle, and say "I'm counting my partner for half". I remember all of our family trips especially Disney and how he always had to end a day at Disney with an ice cream treat. I remember him always being there for me from small things like choir concerts to big things like my graduation. I remember him coming over early on my wedding day to help out because that was just the kind of person he was. 

We were all so lucky to be able to call him our uncle. He was such a magical person. He always made us feel loved unconditionally. I hope he knows how much we loved him and how much of an impact he had on all of us. I'm going to miss him dearly especially his chuckles, silly antics, and that infectious smile of his.

 Danny was friends with my older brothers so I grew up with him around. I have lots of fond memories of them letting this goofy little girl play with them because there weren’t any kids my age to play with. So at 5 yrs old I was playing tackle football, basketball and sledding in the winter with the neighborhood  teenagers. They all treated me like a kid sister though. Even as a small child I saw the beauty in his heart and soul, he was always my favorite. I wish life wouldn’t take us away from the ppl we grow up with. How I wish we could all go back to McNeely Lake Dr and play a game of football one more time. ❤️❤️❤️

So many memories I am so thankful for all of them. No matter what you were always there. No matter how tired you were you always showed up. You helped me so much over the years and never asked for anything in return.  I am so fortunate and thankful to have you as a brother. You are so missed and loved.  I am thankful you brought Diana and Daniel into ours lives as well as many others. 

I remember when we was kids and your Dad would get the flag game playing you always was so sweet and nice rather you won or not and if someone was upset  or down you would always uplift whoever it was. But that was the whole point of the game was to have fun and enjoy being a kid and spending time with your family was the best time of my life Ever!!You was always to me  one of the sweetest and nicest cousin and even tho I didn't get to spend much time around you I will Never forgot you or stop  loving you. Will continue to pray for your whole family and one day very soon I will see you again!! Love you sweet cousin!!

Danny and I were always good friends growing up. One thing that he always got a kick out of was, we were drag racing on Preston Highway late one night sometime around 1976 or 1977. A county Police car got after us and he went straight at Outer Loop and I turned. Guess who they followed. I got a big ol ticket and he got a good laugh. I think he worried for a week that I told them who he was. But not a chance.
Danny was one of the best people I knew growing up.

You and I hitted it off the beginning. From playing video games(taking turns holding booboo) ,putting up Christmas lights when you brought your house. Working long hours and weekends at D.C.E.,took vacations together and one of the few people I would watch U.K. with . I have been blessed to know you and share our lives together.  I can't explain how much I will miss you and love you. Fourth of July fireworks will never be the same.  I will do my best to take care of Diana and Daniel till my last breath. Thank you for being you and making my life better because of it. Enjoy your second phase of your life and I'll see you soon.  Save me a good seat to watch the Wildcats! Love you forever!!




Where to begin??? No matter what I say it wouldn’t  be a proper remembrance of all the great times we had together.

From river falls mall to Disney, we had many, many adventures together. You and Didi took me under your wing as your own before you had your own and I can never repay you for that. I was lost a lot of the time as a kid just wanting to feel accepted and to not be a burden, and as much of a burden as I probably was you guys you never let it show. From being the third wheel on a lot of your and Didi’s “dates”  to just being at your house constantly you never seemed to mind. Whether you guys realize it or not you had a huge part in molding me into who I am today, I try to remain optimistic at all times even at the hardest times. I try to to dream big and never settle for less, I can remember so many conversations we had about thinking positive and big. I can remember you thinking every $1 scratch off was the big one or you buying unopened safes at auctions hoping to hit it big. You were also always willing to help people, even when you probably didn’t want to sometimes, I often wondered if the word NO was in your or Didi’s vocabulary.
You left behind a great family that I promise to always keep an eye on and will remind them of how crazy about them you were.
I miss you so much already and I don’t know if family gatherings will ever be the same, but like you I will try to remain positive and remember all the good times I was lucky enough to have with you.
I’m so sorry you had to go through this, I love you!

So sorry for your loss.  Keeping you all in my prayers.  Remember Danny growing up was always easy to get along with.  As cousins we spent a lot of time playing together.  He will be missed.  May God comfort you all at this time.

Uncle Danny chose Didi when he married her, but he inherited the rest of our crazy family by default. When my own father didn’t choose to raise me, Uncle Danny did. I can’t even remember life without Danny. He helped raise all 3 of my kids. We stayed at their house more than our own. I never heard him complain about anything. Whenever I was annoyed about something I could always find Danny’s eyes across the room, and he’d just give me that little Uncle Danny grin. Whenever ANYBODY had a crisis they’d go to Danny and Didi FIRST because that was the safe place. I will never forget all the great times at Sea World, Disney, and your backyard pool. I love you, Uncle Danny. I’m sorry if I didn’t say it all the time, but I’m truly thankful for everything you did for me and my kids over all the years. i always felt like you were proud of me. I will take care of Didi and Daniel for you like you always took care of me. ❤️

There are too many memories to recount for such a kind and generous uncle. He always knew how to bring a smile to my face, beat the pants off anyone in Rook, and have just the right snack for any occasion. If I’m being honest, he was my favorite uncle and I will miss his smile and positivity. You are in my heart Uncle Danny.

Danny is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda (Howard) Perkins.


Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 28 years, Diana Perkins; son, Daniel Ray Perkins, Jr.; beloved dog, DJ; father, Charles Robert Perkins; siblings, Bobby Perkins, Debbie Raymer (Tim), Cheryl Perkins, Barbara Dixon (Brian); sister-in-law Janet Silliman (Paul); brothers-in-law, Danny McAllister (Janet), Donald McAllister (Jackie), Ronald McAllister (Lisa); numerous nieces and nephews who loved him so much.


Plus a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
