Darlene Marie (Smith) Whitfill

Darlene was a wonderful person with a loving giving heart, an avid UK Basketball Fan. She Loved having her family over for holidays. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Howard Smith, Sr. & Edna Mae (Puckett) Jaggers; her brothers, David G. “Jerry” Smith, Howard Bernard “Junie” Smith, Jr. & Ronald Lee Smith; & her sister, Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Krempp; & fur babies, Part-time & Chelsea.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas “Sonny” Whitfill, who took wonderful care of her; her children, Kevin Wade Thompson, Kimberly Kaye (Doug) Evans & Ritchie Delano (Rhonda) Jones; her step-children, Bryan Whitfill & Lisa Whitfill; her sister, Judy Wade; a host of nieces & nephews; 12 – grandchildren; 5 – great – grandchildren; her fur baby, Rocky; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services will be held on held on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then again on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
