

Deborah Jean Kinney, beloved daughter of Barbara and Raymond Kinney, was born on June 28, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky. Her light shone brightly from the very beginning, bringing joy and love to all who knew her. On June 6, 2024, in Louisville, the world lost a truly remarkable soul as Deborah passed away.
Deborah was a devoted mother to her children, Paul Berthiaume and Kimberly Berthiaume. She was their rock, their guiding light, and her love for them knew no bounds. She instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and strength, qualities that will forever be a part of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Barbara and Raymond Kinney, who undoubtedly welcomed her into their embrace in the afterlife. Deborah is survived by her children, her brothers Steve Kinney (Dana), Ray Kinney (Beth), and Terry Kinney, her nephew Adam Kinney, her uncle Irvin Kinney (Jean), multiple cousins, and countless friends whom she cherished deeply.
Deborah was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Counseling at the University of Louisville, a testament to her dedication to helping and nurturing others. She owned her own commercial cleaning company, where she poured her heart and soul into her work. Her commitment to excellence and hard work was evident in everything she did.
Her love for children extended beyond her career, as she was a Kentucky Colonel for her countless hours of volunteer work, particularly with children in need. Deborah's impact on the community was immeasurable, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness and generosity.
In her free time, Deborah enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved nothing more than spending time at the lake with her girlfriends, traveling the world, and cherishing moments with her friends, family, and beloved dogs. Her laughter filled the room, her smile lit up hearts, and her presence brought warmth to all those around her.
Deborah was known for her loving and caring nature, always willing to go above and beyond for others. She possessed a strength that inspired those around her, and her sense of humor could brighten even the darkest of days. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Deborah's life will be held at Arch L. Heady and Son - Cralle Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky, on June 18, 2024, from 3-7pm. In this time of grief, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Deborah, knowing that her spirit will forever be with us. Rest in peace, dear Deborah. You will be deeply missed.
