She was a retired employee of L&N Railroad and a Catholic by faith.
Born in Louisville to Leo and Lela Bayens, Delores was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Sanders Sr; children Larry Sanders, Thomas Sanders Jr, Linda Wright, and Betty Sanders; and siblings Leo, Carl, Frances, and Shirley. She is survived by her son Ronald Sanders Sr (Lisa); grandchildren Anthony, Mark, Ronnie Jr, Theresa, and Amie; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm Thursday.
