Dolores Kaufman

Dolores was born on November 16, 1937, in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of Oleta Terry and Morton Terry. She was a Rainbow Girl and a graduate of Valley High School.

Dolores retired from Bacons Department Store in Shively where she had worked in the boy’s department, bridal department and as the store’s Personal Shopper.

She was a long-time and active member of Beechland Baptist Church where she made many lifelong friends. Dolores loved cooking, entertaining, traveling, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She had a wonderful outlook on life and touched many lives.

Dolores is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles Wade Kaufman, and brother Norman Terry, Sr.

She is survived by daughters; Lisa Singerman (John), and Vicki Crowner (Mark), her grandchildren; John Crowner, Anne Crowner, Drew Singerman, Chris Singerman (Cate), Kevin Singerman (Alyssa) and her great-grandchildren Cole, Cooper, and Millie Singerman, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Anthology.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6th from noon until 3:00 pm at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, with service to follow at 3:00 pm.
