

He was preceded by his parents Viola Ruth and Raymond Theodore “Ted” Edwards, great-granddaughter Ella Dalton, and dear friend Gilbert Sermersheim.
Don was retired as an automaker for Ford Motor Company – Louisville Assembly Plant. His career spanned over 30 years, with a side gig as the original soft drink vending man at LAP. His hobbies included working on his home/property, fishing, golfing, and assuring the happiness of his wife.
Don left quite a legacy such as being hard-working, patient, helping those in need, and most notably having a deep love for his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Sharon “Sheri” Edwards; five children Kimberly Shealy (Mike), Stormie Tucker-Manion (Mark), Leslie Edwards, Chad Baldwin (Emily), Julian De La Cruz and his fur baby Piper. Siblings: Judy Embry (Randy), Jeanne Morris (Sandy), Ray Edwards, Jr. (Joy), twin Lon Edwards (Kathy), Michael Edwards (Sonja) and Mark Edwards (Beverly); brother-in-law Jerry Murphy; 11 grandchildren Kari Shealy, Kelsey Dalton (Travis), Kayla Shealy, Ryan Manion (Jessie), Ginny Manion, Hannah Marion (Andrew), Lainey Manion, Evan Anderson, Dayton Lovell, Elaina and Charlotte Baldwin. 10 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation is February 24, 2024 11a.m. - 2 p.m. at Arch L Heady RestHaven immediately followed by A Celebration of Life at 2:00p.m. Arch L. Heady Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Don's name, to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
