Donald “Donnie” Ray Bertholf, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 8, 2025. Born on May 16, 1952 in Shelby County, he was the son of Irvin Louis Bertholf and Anna Ruth Johnson Bertholf Butts.
He graduated class of 1971 from Jeffersontown High School and went on to a career in the plumbing, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning business in the Fayette and Jefferson County areas.
He is survived by the loves of his life, his daughter Ange Darnell (Derek) of Frankfort, his son Brad Bertholf of Louisville, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Anna Sams of Frankfort. He also has many nieces and nephews whom he cherished; Eddie Bertholf, Paula Holm, Teresa Aanensen, Marsha McCord, Randy Bertholf, Christa Ballard Thornton, and Coley Ballard. Donnie is well remembered as a devoted father, uncle, grandfather, godfather, and all-around good friend, who brought smiles wherever he went.
A graveside service will be held for family at Resthaven Memorial Park on Friday, August 15th at 1:00 p.m. There will be a small celebration of life at the Hungry Pelican, 5412 Bardstown Road, immediately following the service.
