He is survived by his wife, Jackie Tandy Cornett;two children, Lindsey Heybach (Jason) and Joshua Cornett (Leslie);a twin brother, Ronald Cornett (Karen); a sister, Jeannie Cornett; five grandchildren, Lilyana and Jackson Heybach, Dylan, Kynlee, and Elyn Cornett. He gave service to his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from FESCO/FASSCO Fire Equipment Service Company. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Cancer and Blood Specialists of Louisville and Hosparus for their compassionate care.
A celebration of Donald's life will be conducted Wednesday, Decemeber 31, 2014 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in St. Michaels Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
