Donald D. Taylor Sr.

Donald Dean Taylor, Sr, 84, formally of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 4, 2021. Donald was born on October 3, 1936 to the late Ernest and Pauline Taylor. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine Sparks.

Donald was a high school graduate of duPont Manual, class of 1954. He was Vice President of Yellow Cab for over 62 years. Donald was a member of the Viking Canoe Club, Kentuckiana Basketball Official Association, Kentuckiana Soccer Official Association, Masonic Lodge # 740, Kentucky Colonel, Kentucky Senior Games, Senior Softball and Metro Parks.

He enjoyed camping, gardening and he was an avid sports fan but most of all, Donald enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Taylor; son, Dean Taylor (Lori); daughter, Yvonne Manning (Bobby); grandchildren, Patrisha Milby (Brian), Sean Taylor (Drew), BJ Manning (Katie) and Kara Taylor (James); great-grandchildren, Destiny, Kinley and Aiden; great-great grandchildren, Khloe, Karson, Karaline and Kole.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218), with a service to honor the life of Donald to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Donald will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
