

Doris was married to the love of her life William C. Allen, who proceeded her in death. They spent 56 years together. Doris loved her 3 children each in their own way & spoiled her grandchildren with laughter, hugs, and an abundance of popcorn. Doris enjoyed going out for Mexican taco salads and sometimes a margarita on the rocks. Doris lived a life filled with connection, treasuring family time, morning coffee rituals, and phone conversations, while pursuing her interests in crochet, reading, and cooking. Doris's door was always open, welcoming everyone. Doris was a source of comfort and guidance to many with her nurturing spirit.
Doris was also preceded in death by her son, William Scott Allen; grandchildren, Jackson Kirk and Shontae Allen; siblings, J.D Stucker, Newton G Stucker Jr, Jean Stucker, Roy N Stucker, Lena Hudson, Nancy Pollard, Marion Stucker; and brother-in-law, Christopher Pape.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lynn Allen, Robbie McCreary (Gina Foster); grandchildren, Nicole Kirk (Jason), Joshua D. Allen, Mathew McCreary, Joshua C. Allen; great grandchildren, Anthony Chavez, Selena Chavez, Noah Ray, Jaden Kirk, Jocelyn Kirk, Bella Kirk, Brielle Harris, Layci Harris; great-great grandchild, Yaneli Chavez; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Pape; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; extended family – most considered her a second mom – and dear friends.
The Funeral Service for Doris will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 2:00pm at Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel. Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 12:00pm until the hour of the funeral. Cremation will follow with a private burial of her ashes at a later time.
