Doris Laverne Newman, 90, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Wesley Manor Nursing Center in Louisville. She was born September 22, 1923 in Louisville to the late Harry and Mary Haysley and was a member of the 9th and O Baptist Church.
Mrs. Newman is survived by her son, David Newman (Sue), two grandchildren, Andrea Luckett (Mitch) and Daniel Brown (Talli).
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, David Newman.
A Celebration of Doris’ life will be conducted Wednesday, June 25th, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with a private interment.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
