Mrs. Doris E. “Rufer” Thompson, 90, of Louisville passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was a lifelong resident of Louisville and retired employee of South Central Bell.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Kelly “Thompson” Brueggman of Bastrop, TX; grandchildren, Brandy Davis (Steve), Bryan Brueggman (Brittanie), Bryanna Brueggman, and Brinkley Brueggman; and great grandchildren, Natalie, Makenzie, Jillian, Vincent, Christian, Beckett, and Benton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Thompson, Jr. and mother, Aline D. Rufer.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 4 to 6 pm at the Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd., Louisville. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the funeral home with burial following at Cave Hill Cemetery.
