She was born February 16, 1931 in Mayfield, KY the daughter of R.L. and Anna Stimson. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Joe, Hugh and Glen Stimson.
Doris was the Secretary to the Vice Controller at Ford Motor Company Truck Plant for many years. She was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church since 1963 and a volunteer librarian at Wilder Elementary School for 10 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Raymond Walker; her daughter, Liticia Kelsey (Dan); her son, Rodney Walker; two granddaughters, Tiffany Davis (Matt) and Whitney Adams (Chris); two great-granddaughters, Kelsey and Kenzie Davis; and one sister, Wanda Overby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 28, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM (CST) Tuesday at Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield, Kentucky.
