Dorothy Poole Spurr, a resident of the Masonic Home, passed away on February 6, 2024. She is survived by her children Elizabeth Poole Brown (Rufus) and John Michael Poole (Roslyn), four grandchildren; Sara Brown (Jude Rutledge), Andy Brown (Becky), Ellen Ekevag (Per), Jim Poole (Betzi) and six great grandchildren.
Dorothy was the surviving widow of Jack Poole and Jerry Spurr. She was a graduate of Atherton High School, Jefferson Community College, and the University of Louisville, and an active member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 am on Monday February 19th, with funeral services at 10 am, at Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Avenue, with private burial at Resthaven Memorial Park.
