Dorothy was unrivaled in her passion for scratch offs. The thrill of the anticipation brought her joy as she indulged sometimes daily in her passion. She cherished the memories made at Sunshine Bingo, where many laughs and good times were had, regardless of winning or losing. She was not just a fan of gambling games, but was also a skilled baker. She devoted 30 plus years of her life making donuts at Pastry Plus Bakery. Her legacy of sweetness, both in her donuts and her warmth of heart, will be so greatly missed by so many.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Cynthia Sharp (Chris) and Crissy Reynolds (Joey); granddaughter, Devon Moore (Jereme).
She was preceded in passing by her husband of 34 years, Larry Reynolds; daughter, Denise Reynolds; siblings, William Gassman and Jeane Bensing.
A service to honor Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, December 26th, at 1 PM, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. She will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
