Edith was Born January 14,1932 in Fairdale KY. She was the daughter of Thomas Silvers and Lillie Simpson. She graduated from Fairdale High School. She was a homemaker by trade and a great seamstress. She loved fashion.
She is currently a member of Bashford Manor Baptist Church and for many years she was a member of Shively Heights Baptist Church where she served in children ministry teaching 4 yr olds for over 40 years. She served on the prayer team for many years as well. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ and her family.
Her biggest achievement and legacy are making sure all of her children and grandchildren came to know the Lord and were saved. She was our prayer warrior. She prayed for each one of us by name and shared the Love of Christ to us all.
She is survived by Linda Richmond of Fort Wayne In, Gary Huff (Jenny) of Shelbyville KY, JoAnn Vernon-Gossom (Terry), Jerry Huff (Robin). 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is predeceased by Scott Richmond (Linda) and Mark Vernon (JoAnn).
The funeral service will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Wednesday May 1,2024. Visitation will be from 11:00am- 2:00pm. Funeral Service 2:00pm.

You have probably heard the hymn “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.” This hymn, written in India, holds a line that says, “No turning back, no turning back.” This is momma’s legacy to us. It is our responsibility to share this to our children and others as well.
