Edna Marie Black, 99, passed away peacefully Friday November 27, 2015. She was born on August 17, 1916 to the late John H. and Louise Metz Scherry. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrew United Church of Christ and truly loved to travel around the world.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John W. Black.A special thanks to Westminster Terrace, Hosparus and St. Andrew United Church of Christ for their love, compassion and care.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 at 3pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, with a private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew United Church of Christ and Hosparus.
