Melcher, Edward A. 80, passed away November 24, 2012. Edward served his country in the Korean War with the U. S. Army. He then retired from Brown & Williamson and went on to work at Saint Josephs Children’s Home. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Leona Melcher and grandson Jason H. Bruce. Edward left behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years Ann Melcher, children Nancy Bruce and Joe Melcher, grandchildren Shawn Melcher, Dustin Bruce, Derrick Melcher, Drew Melcher and Jason Lee Bruce, sisters Gerry Schnarre, Joyce Buehner and Diana Eifler and seven great grandchildren. A service honoring the life of Edward will be held Thursday at 12 noon at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12-8pm at the funeral home.
