Eldon Dean McDonald

He was born February 3, 1932, the son of Thirl and Ava McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary McDonald; daughter, Sherry Lynn McDonald; and great-granddaughter, Tara Rose Willenborg.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He co-owned and co-founded Martin & McDonald Company and was a 50 year member of the Bricklayers Union.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Reinstedler-McDonald; children, Eric McDonald, Deborah Jones, Bobby Jones and Vikki Jones Mangum (Tiger); step-children, Rebecca Mendoza (Juan), Carla Emerson (Lee), Mark Gatton; grandchildren, Kelley and Neal Curran, Dalton Jones, Jack and Isabel Mendoza, Michael and Jeremy Barnes; great-grandchildren, Todd and Colleen Willenborg, William, Ada and Patrick Curran; great-great-grandchildren, Love and Atlas; and one sister, Virgie Curtis.

A service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
