Elizabeth “Betty” Lee Minogue Schnieders passed on April 20, 2026, at the age of 96. Born May 3, 1929, Betty lived a long life marked by her faith, steady resilience, a kind heart, and a happiness that could be felt in the simple, everyday ways she chose to spend her time. She also carried a determined streak—stubborn in the best sense—meeting life as it came with conviction and strength.
Betty was formerly Mrs. Robert M. Schnieders, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin H Minogue, Sr., and Alvina Young Minogue. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Lee Schnieders, Sandra Jo Stevens(Douglas), and Lorri Sue Furdock(Daniel); her son, Robert Matthias Schnieders, Jr.; her grandchildren, Joshua K. Stevens, Jeremiah B. Stevens, Jessica D. Furdock, and Daniel P. Furdock; and great-grandchildren, Wade, Brooks, Ford Furdock.
In the rhythms of home and daily life, Betty found genuine joy. Her interests included gardening, sewing, crafts, painting, traveling with family, horse racing, and casino’s—pastimes that reflected both her creativity and her enduring enjoyment of life’s pleasures, whether quiet and hands-on or lively and spirited.
Betty also valued companionship and community. She was involved with the Red Hat Club and a Poker Group, places where conversation, laughter, and shared time mattered—where her warmth and steadfast presence were appreciated by those who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, on May 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
