

Elmer’s uncle Elbert and Aunt Lindy taught him to love hunting, fishing and to love the outdoors. Elmer was a hardworking man. He worked for Meadow Gold Dairy and HGP Glass as a delivery truck driver. What Elmer loved most was spending time with his family.
Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, his sons, John William and Mike White, sister, Cecil Cain, and a grandson, Brandon.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 63 years, Tonya Gibbs White, a daughter, Theresa Harvey (Mark), an adopted daughter, Espie and three grandsons, Walter White and Trace and Dallas Manor a granddaughter, Sarah Cecil (Andrew), a sister, Shirley Kelly and a brother-in-law, Ted Gibbs, daughter-in-law, Janice White, great grandchildren, Scarlette, Brynn and Grayson. He is also survived by numerous cousins nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A visitation will take place from 3-8pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will be conducted at 12pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
