Elvin Lee Meredith

Meredith, Elvin L. 85, entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2016. Elvin was loving and caring man who had the ability to light up a room with his calm and caring demeanor. He had a witty sense of humor and had a way about him that helped people feel comfortable. Elvin was a devout Christian who received the Distinguished Service Award from the Church of the Nazarene.. He briefly ministered at the Monticello Church of the Nazarene and also taught Sunday School. Elvin graduated from Asbury College and was a local truck driver for over 20 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Christine; children, Kenneth L. Meredith, Rebecca L. Graybill (Rick), and Deborah F. Grassman (Ron); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday at 10:00am at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of the customary forms of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Elvin's name to Asbury University. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
