Emma Jean Rockey

Jeanne, as she preferred to be called, was born in Louisville, KY, on August 18, 1930 to parents, William Henry and Catherine Elizabeth Reynolds. She graduated from Louisville Girls High School and shortly after went to work as a secretary at WAVE3 TV. She retired as their Traffic Director 40 years later.

After retirement, Jeanne fulfilled a lifelong dream and relocated to Florida. First to North Fort Myers, and eventually she moved to Winter Haven where she resided for the last ten years at Swiss Village Park. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Haines City, FL, where she kept herself busy working with the kids and volunteering in the church office as often as they needed her. She was also past secretary of Today's Floridian, a social club for women in the Winter Haven area.

Jeanne is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Lundy (Charles) of Winter Haven; two sons, David (Mechelle) of Winter Haven and Michael (Kathy) of Louisville, KY; two brothers, Gary Reynolds, and Richard Reynolds; and three grandchildren.

Ms. Rockey is at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. A celebration of Emma's life will be held at noon on Monday, July 1, 2013, also at Resthaven.
