Emmitt T. Keith

He retired from Tube Turns in 1980 after 35 years of service. He is a 60 year member of Farmdale Nazarene Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for almost 30 years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Ilah Faye Walcher who is the mother of his seven children. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ruth Harrington; a son-in-law, Ross Lane; a grandson, Barry Jr.; four sisters, Irene, Jean, Elsie and Louise; and five brothers, Reuben, Chester, Joe, Ivan and Ernie.

He is survived by his loving children, Sharon Elder (Don), Linda Lane, Larry Keith (Sue), Beverly Scherzinger (Ron), Susie Dempsey (David), Brenda Davis (Tom) and Barry Keith (Vicki); a brother, Ray Keith; a sister, Betty Lempke; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and 2 foster great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be conducted Friday at 10 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 on Thursday at the funeral home.

He has been a resident of Bee Hive Assisted Living for 28 months. The family would like to thank the manager and all the workers who provided loving care for their father.
