Bauer, Ernest C. 94, passed away Tuesday October 10, 2017. Ernie was valedictorian and member of National Honor Society of Valley High School Class of 1941. He then went on to become a sales manager for Parish Distributing, Cooper of Louisville and Fall City Supply Company and was also in the Signal Corp. for the U. S. Army. Ernie had been a faithful member of St. Luke Episcopal Church.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ruby Bauer, siblings Donald Bauer, Stuart Bauer, Ruth Dickson and Catherine Hough and son-in-law Joseph C. Neff Jr.
Ernie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 71 years Rose Marie “Sissy” Bauer, daughter Diane Neff Thomas (Bruce), grandson Brian J. Neff (Sarah), great grandchildren Camp and Kennedy and brother Bruce Bauer (Susan).
A service to honor the life of Ernie will be held Friday at 2pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Rd. Visitation will begin Friday at 10:30am until the start of the funeral. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hosparus of Louisville or Norton Children’s Hospital.
