Esther G. Marcum

Esther G. Marcum passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2026. She was ready to see God face to face, she is at peace and feeling only love in the arms of her husband, Bruce. She was born on December 1, 1939, in Louisville, KY to Roy Sr. and Melissa Cantrell. She graduated from Ahren High School. In 1971, She was one of the first women to work at Ford Motor Co. on Fern Valley Rd. Louisville, KY. She was Ford Tough!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Sr. and Melissa Cantrell; her loving husband, Bruce Marcum; brother, Roy Cantrell Jr.; son, Michael W. Bryant; granddaughters, Sara Zepernick, Jessica Hughes and Deirdre Bryant Morris. She is survived by her daughters; Donna (Mike) Hughes, Glina Bryant Lentz and Kimberly (Bob) Mercier; sons Johnny (Sheila) Bryant and Shawn Marcum. Grandchildren: Michelle (Buddy) Cain, Melissa Bryant, Stacy Zepernick, Christopher (Harley Paige) Hazel, Alisha (Rob) Bodner, Brandy Hudspeth, Angela (Dylan) Bishop, Allison Lentz, Edward Lentz Jr., Alissa Marcum and Cameron Marcum, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Esther was a wonderful, loving, kind and respected woman. She was so blessed to be loved by so many friends and family. Esther was a Southern Baptist, Sunday School teacher and lead several people to Christ. Rest peacefully in Heaven with the Lord by your side, you will forever be missed by everyone you ever met.
