

Evelyn Amelia “Mimi” Ritz Stottmann Graves passed away peacefully on December 23rd 2025. She was born January 18th, 1935 in Louisville Ky to Edward J. Ritz and Lula Bell (Porter) Ritz. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School and was a Mercy Academy High School graduate of 1952. Mimi married Raymond J. Stottmann of Louisville on November 28th, 1952 and spent the next 22 years successfully raising 4 children.
She then embarked on a 26 year love affair as a staff member in the Discipline Office at Trinity High School in Louisville from 1974 to 2000, where she would eventually receive an Honorary Alumni Award in 1992, and become affectionately known by students as "Mother Hen". The culmination of her career was induction into the Trinity Hall of Fame in 2017.
But the real love of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether being called "Gago, Grandma or Grammy" it was true. They were your love and you were theirs too.She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by family and friends.
Mimi is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Raymond J Stottmann, parents Edward J and Lula Bell Ritz, brothers Clarence, Don, Joe, Tom, Bob and Phil, and sisters Vera, Charlotte, Norma and Carolyn. Left to cherish her memory are brother James (Patty) Ritz, children Nancy A Zeman, Edward J (Denise) Stottmann, Mary Elizabeth (Raymond) Byron, Raymond A (Denise) Stottmann, grandchildren Nick, Adam, Krisha, Chad, Matthew, Lauren, Rachel, Sam, Kate, and great-grandchildren Jackson, Charlie, Bobby, Wyatt and Christopher.
Visitation for Mimi will be held at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home 7410 Westport Rd 40222 in Louisville on January 10th, 2026 from 11am to 3pm with a service in the on-site chapel beginning at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donating to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
