Fayan was born December 28, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Carl Edward and Sara Tichenor Garrett.
Fayan was a 1952 graduate of Southern High School. She was a stay-at-home mom, and her family was her entire life. In her younger years, Fayan enjoyed volunteering with scouts and participating in church activities. She also spent her time sewing clothes not only for her children and grandchildren, but also for their toys and dolls, just to make them happy. She made Aunt Hazel’s delicious bubblecake for holidays and special occasions, much to the delight of her family and friends. She used to play softball with her church league and enjoyed fishing, especially when she caught the ten-pound catfish (with a picture to prove it). She believed in the messages of William Marrion Branham from The Voice of God, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
