Frances Ann Cobb

She was born February 17, 1942 in Louisville, the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor (Crume) Underwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tilford Cobb.

Frances worked in customer service most of her life and had previously attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in LaGrange. She also had a close group of “sisters” for most of her life, they were known as her “JUG Club” which included, Linda King, Judy Burkhardt, Sue Redmon, Carole Noltemeyer, Isla Weiting, Jeanne Maser, Carol Fitzgerald and Tish Schaaf. The group also included Rosemary Donnelly and Peggy Dillman, who have passed.

Survivors include her five children, Leslie Reed (Keith), Geralyn Ashley (Doug), Ellen McKinley (Wade), Thomas Savchick (Robin) and Christopher Savchick (Beth); ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; her sister, Gertrude Lonero; the father of her children, William Savchick and many other extended family and friends.

A mass to celebrate her life will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church, 1826 Edenside Ave. Louisville, KY 40204. Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM on Monday at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.

In lieu of customary expressions, donations should be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hosparus.
