Frank G. Schneider, Jr., 85, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at Signature Healthcare after a long illness. He was retired from General Electric where he worked for over 35 years in assembly. Frank served his country in the U. S. Navy on the Baltimore, during the Korean War as a underwater demolition, radar and gunnery mate. He loved to go fishing and sports of any kind. Notre Dame, Green Bay Packers and the Boston Red Sox being his favorites.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Olive Schneider and a grandson, Jeremy Scott Schneider; parents, Frank Sr. and Delphine Schneider; a brother, Elmore Schneider and a sister, Della Beatty.
Left cherishing his memory are his children: daughter, Sharlene Schneider, and son, Alan (Sally) Schneider.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday August 8, 2016, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Highway, Louisville, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road.
